So, what is Aethoxysklerol?
It is indicated for sclerotherapy of varicose veins of the lower extremities. Whilst varicose veins are generally asymptomatic, they can sometimes be itchy, dry or cause a burning sensation.
How is Aethoxysklerol administered?
The injection is given intravenously, and practitioners should maintain a strict aseptic technique at all times.
Aethoxysklerol can be painful while being injected, but some patients only experience mild discomfort.
What are the product specifications?
There are four concentrations to choose from, depending on the type and size of the treatment area. Each ampule is single use and, once opened, should be used immediately. It is available in 5 strengths and in 2ml ampoules only.
